Apple Sauce recipe
An easy to make recipe for apple sauce with cloves & lemon juice

Peel core and slice a pound of apples, place in a saucepan, add a Tablespoonful of water. Add two cloves, if liked. Keep the lid on during cooking until a pulp.
Remove the cloves, beat the pulp well, add one ounce of butter, one Tablespoonful of caster sugar, and one teaspoonful of lemon juice. Pour the sauce into washed and warmed jars, and seal while still warm. Label and put the lids on when cool.
